Reporting to: Head of Digital Development & Insight

Job Type: Full Time – Permanent

Working Week: Monday to Friday (37.5hrs per week)

Location: Head office based in Wath Upon Dearne, Rotherham

Salary: Competitive Salary – full time (depending on age and experience)

Holiday Allowance: 25 + Bank Holidays (rising to 27 after continuous service)

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Support Analyst to join our dynamic team within the gas and electric utilities sector. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in business operations and analytics. You will support management in a variety of tasks including data analysis, process improvement, administrative coordination, and digital engagement. Your contributions will help streamline operations and enhance decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities 

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist in collecting, analysing, and interpreting business data to generate actionable insights. Prepare regular reports, insights and dashboards to support strategic and commercial decision-making.

  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving operational processes and productivity.

  • Administrative Support: Provide general assistance including preparing information to supporting meetings, preparing documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating internal processes.

  • Digital Engagement: Support the company’s development of AI and robotics technology to enhance customer facing and internal processes, with ongoing stakeholder engagement regarding new opportunities.

  • Project Assistance: Collaborate with various departments to support ongoing projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.

  • Meeting Co-Ordination: Assist in organising change delivery meetings, including co-preparing and organising, and following up on action items to deliver improvements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent A-levels; further education in business, data analytics, or administration is desirable.
  • Requires individuals to have a natural ability for problem solving, innovation whilst using Technology to create or improve products, systems, and processes.
  • Strong interest in business analytics, operations, and professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with data tools or CRM systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
